Playtest · Round 1
Help test Squirrelkind
This is an early build with all four scenarios: First Storm, Dead Air, Clearwater Crossing and Darkwater. Play as much as you like. Getting stuck or confused is exactly the useful part, so please don’t look anything up.
1Download
2Install
Windows
Unzip the whole folder and run Squirrelkind.exe. If Windows says it protected your PC, click More info → Run anyway.
Mac
Apple Silicon (M1 or newer) only. Unzip and open Squirrelkind.app.
When macOS blocks it, open System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway.
If it says the app is damaged, run this in Terminal:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine ~/Downloads/Squirrelkind.app3Play
Play the levels in order (click Play on the title screen). To leave a level early, close the game window — there’s no pause menu yet.
Known gaps: almost no sound, some placeholder objects (especially in Darkwater), and a level can occasionally become impossible to finish — note it and restart the level.
4Feedback
When you’re done, click Give feedback on the game’s title screen. It sends your playtest log and opens the feedback form with the basics filled in.
